Background: Gardo General Hospital (GGH) was built in 1960 by the Italian colony administration in Somalia, just few months before the independence. It was planned to provide primary healthcare services to 10000 inhabitants living in the town, villages and remote rural. GGH is a public hospital in Gardo, capital town of Karkaar region, Puntland State, Somalia. It hasa facility of approximately 90 beds. The hospital is a regional referral centre and expected to deliver a broad range of medical, surgical and maternity services to 150,000 people living in Karkaar region. 1. Wards: 2.
